Computational Mechanics Lab

Front_Page

The Computational Mechanics Laboratory (CML) educates students and conducts research in a broad range of fundamental and applied mechanics across multiple interdisciplinary fields. The lab is associated with Center of Injury Biomechanics and Center for Tire Research and it specializes in biomechanics, exploring the mechanical behavior of biological tissues, and tissue engineering, developing innovative solutions for regenerative medicine. In dynamics and control, the lab focuses on modeling, simulation, and optimization to enhance system performance. Advanced crash and structural simulations, including pre-crash scenarios, are conducted to improve safety and resilience. Unique studies such as compressed snow-tire and deformable soil-tire interaction analyses provide insights into vehicle performance under diverse terrains.
